The FALK 1140 KV PD sandwich panel is the solution for flat roofs in refrigerated and/or food-safe applications. The airtightness and good insulation make this panel particularly suitable for cold storage rooms. This sandwich panel is also a flat panel, which helps to prevent the accumulation of dirt on the trusses – making this panel ideal for food-safe applications.

Food-safe coatings
FALK offers a range of coatings for use in areas where hygiene is everything, as is often the case in the food industry. We offer both contact and non-contact food-safe coatings:
Contact Foodsafe: 150 mu and suitable for food-processing areas. Food is allowed to ‘come into contact’ with this coating.
Non-Contact Foodsafe: 25 mu and suitable for areas used for storing packaged food products.
Flat roof for refrigeration applications
A flat roof for cold storage or other well-insulated rooms has to meet several requirements. While good insulation is of course very important, the coating and joining system also play a role. A good joint – and, therefore, airtightness – contributes to good insulation, which keeps the room at the right temperature and hygienic.
Self-supporting sandwich panels
The flat roof panels for refrigeration applications are self-supporting sandwich panels. This means that no substrate is required to support the panel. In most circumstances, solar panels can be installed on FALK insulated roof panels, but this will depend on the chosen span of the panels and the substructure. Always seek professional advice in order to avoid any potential problems. Special brackets are available that can be mounted on our sandwich panels. What colours are available for the interior skin of my flat roof panels?
"The standard interior coating for flat roof panels is FALK Off-White. As the panels are manufactured at FALK, you can choose from a wide range of coatings and colours. A popular alternative to FALK Off-White is FALK Reflective White, a reflective traffic white coating that helps save energy. This coating reflects up to 85% of light, so light can be used intelligently in the building: fewer light sources are needed than with a normal coating, which reduces energy costs and cuts down on carbon emissions. For a more industrial look, you can also go for a darker coating. For example, a FALK Black Matt coating was chosen for this shed. This gives the building a completely different character.
