Elevated Efficiency: Mobile Defenders’ Pioneering Facility Upgrade
Mobile Defenders embarked on a transformative journey by investing in a new $7.5 million facility, significantly scaling up from their previous 20,000-square-foot facility in Kentwood. This 95,000-square-foot industrial building signals a new era of growth and expansion for the company, catering not only to its core operations but also housing its rapidly growing eduPARTS brand.
This pre-engineered metal building, designed by Veneklasen Construction, has been created to meet the operational requirements of Mobile Defenders and eduPARTS. The facility is intelligently divided into separate zones for business offices, warehouse, and assembly operations, resulting in a streamlined workflow. The project has been thoughtfully designed to allow for an immediate switch of all business operations to the new location, with around 50% excess space available for leasing in the short term and to meet the future expansion needs of eduPARTS. This forward-looking design caters to both the current and future growth trajectories of both brands.
The use of our FALK HFW 40 insulated metal wall panels has significantly improved the functional and aesthetic profile of Mobile Defenders' facility. Our panels have been chosen in various Colorcoat HPS200 Ultra® shades like Hamlet, Goosewing Grey, Dutch White, and Sargasso, providing a contemporary look and superior insulation, along with concealed fasteners for a clean finish. Veneklasen’s Mobile Defenders project was recognized as a 2023 Hall of Fame “Best of category” winner in the Office category.
